Because of the proximity of the area Both Keonjhar and Kendrapara

Because of the proximity of the area Both Keonjhar and Kendrapara to the calamities needs due attention to the preparedness in order to reduce the climatic extremes to a greater extent and can lessen the extent of damage and loss occurred due to that.  Village people are sensitized and process of community based disaster preparedness has been strengthened.  Orientation and mock drill process are the on going ones to keep up the practice.  The forest protection committee has been sensitized and steps have been taken to protect and create more forest and mangroves.  Drought protection activities are also undertaken.
